Effects of five different parameters on biodiesel HCCI combustion in free-piston engine generator

A coupled 3-D CFD and detailed chemical kinetics model of free-piston engine generator (FPEG) was adopted to investigate the effects initial parameters on homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) combustion emission. Biodiesel with 115 species skeletal mechanism selected as fuel. Five different parameters, namely pressure, temperature, working frequency, ratio fuel equivalence ratio, were analyze their influences in HCCI simulation FPEG. The results showed that change five had visible impact heat release rate combustion, which caused in-cylinder temperature pressure change, also emission content NOx SOOT obviously.
